UnitedHealthcare and Scripps Health Plan (Scripps) have reached an agreement that ensures UnitedHealthcare’s members enrolled in employer-sponsored commercial plans and Group Retiree PPO plans have uninterrupted access to Scripps’ hospitals and physicians in San Diego. This agreement incudes the UC Medicare Choice PPO Plan effective January 1, 2024.
The UCSF Medical Group is now in network for the UC Medicare Choice PPO plan effective 1/1/24
The UC Medicare Choice plan is a PPO plan, which means you have lots of flexibility in choosing a provider. You can choose from a network of doctors or hospitals nationwide or you can use any doctor or hospital outside the network as long as they accept the plan and have not opted out of or been excluded from Medicare.
